Reprint language versus first-drop editions in NFT comics

Some bundles repeat an earlier interior with new cover trade dress. Marketplace copy may still shout the character name. Our catalog column for reprints exists so a timeline does not grow a fake new chapter.

Look for publisher lines such as collected, reprinted, or originally presented. If the balloon text matches a file you already indexed, compare panel counts. Equal counts plus matching caption boxes usually mean restatement.

First-drop editions still need honesty. A first drop can give a character only a two-panel cameo. Novelty of the file does not upgrade a cameo into a spotlight. We keep those flags separate from the reprint flag.

When a collector’s personal ledger shows a serial, copy it next to the reprint mark. That is record-keeping. It is not an appraisal and not a reason to open a trading screen.
